Blade II is a 2002 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Blade, directed by Guillermo del Toro and written by David S. Goyer. A sequel to Blade (1998), it is the second installment in the Blade franchise, followed by Blade: Trinity.
With the aid of Scud (Norman Reedus), his new weapon designer, Blade tracks Whistler to eastern Europe, where he is in possession of a large vampire gang. Interrogating the last-surviving member, Rush (Santiago Segura), Blade finds Whistler locked in a tank and kept alive to torture.
