Each Wild Overworld Pokemon of one specific area will each have different spawn rates.
Random encounters are the ones that have exclamation points when you run into them. Overworld encounters are the mons you can see before running into them. And special overworld encounters are the pokemon that are gonna be there and once you defeat them wont come back until the next day.

Nov 15, 2019 · In tall grass or caves, battles with wild Pokémon will occur when you run into Pokémon that you can see wandering around. You can also trigger battles by running into the ️ icon that will pop up in patches of tall grass. What you end up getting is a mix of both encounter methods.
