A model loses one wound for each point of damage it suffers. If a model’s wounds are reduced to 0 or less, it is destroyed and removed from play. If a model loses several wounds from an attack and is destroyed, any excess damage inflicted by that attack is lost and has no effect.

Mar 17, 2023 · The destroyed model can fight after the attacking model’s unit has finished making attacks, and is then removed from play. In these cases, if a model’s unit has fought, then the model counts as having fought, even if it made no attacks during that Fight activation.
It wouldn't stop being destroyed. Also the most common way for the Aircraft to die in it's own movement phase would be if it was shot by a unit using Auspex or similar, however that would mean it arrived as reinforcements in that turn.
