Peter Paul Fix (March 13, 1901 – October 14, 1983) was an American film and television character actor who was best known for his work in Westerns. Fix appeared in more than 100 movies and dozens of television shows over a 56-year career between 1925 and 1981.

He was sent to live with his married sisters in Yonkers and Zanesville, Ohio. LIFE BEFORE ACTING. When Fix was 17, he was drafted into the U.S. Navy and served during World War I in Rhode Island, Newport, South Carolina, and Charleston.
As of 1981, the 80-year old Fix was still getting mail from all over the world from "Rifleman" fans. Paul Fix died October 14, 1983 of kidney failure. He was survived by his daughter Marilyn Carey and son-in-law Harry "Dobe" Carey, three grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
