Malik Oussekine (16 October 1964 – 6 December 1986) was a French student of Algerian origin. He had been walking near student protests in Paris opposing university reforms (the so-called " Devaquet bill [ fr ] ," named after politician Alain Devaquet ) and proposed immigration restrictions.
