When this tiny shop was knocked down for a new road, they opened a premises on Burlington Street near Piccadilly Circus. This shop was bombed during the Second World War, leaving just the New Oxford Street branch remaining.
Further branches were established in Savile Row and New Burlington Street and the main premises is now in New Oxford Street. The shop-fittings there were constructed around 1865 and the shop still has a traditional Victorian character.
