- One person has died and several others remain unaccounted for following a fire at a four-storey block of flats. Residents were seen leaping from the burning building in Rowe Court, Reading. One has described their "miracle" escape. Four people were taken to hospital, while another seven were treated at the scene, the ambulance service said.
