Edmund was born in California in approximately 1911 or 1913.His mother, Sister Margaret McGuire, was a nun who lived at St. John of the Cross Rectory in Fair Oaks, California. While living there, Sister Margaret was raped by one of the priests, Joseph Sullivan, and became pregnant.
