May 26, 2009 · There are three different words: manyak, manyuk, and mnayek (the latter is pronounced maybe "menayek" or "manayek"). I think that mnayek is supposed to be the plural of manyuk, but it may be fictive: not exist in Arabic yet constructed according to the pattern of other plurals.
BTW, the Hebrew slang word 'manayek' or 'manyak' is a distortion of the arabic word منيك (pronounced 'mneyyek') which literally translates to "fucker" and is commonly used to mean "pervert". It’s a true cognate, it does mean jerk/asshole/etc. מנאייכ = מניאק = maniac = معتوه.
