Lillian Marie Disney (née Bounds; February 15, 1899 – December 16, 1997) was an American ink artist at the Walt Disney Animation Studios and the wife of Walt Disney from 1925 until his death in 1966.
Lillian was hired for the job of an ink and paint artist on 19 January 1924 with a salary of $15 per week. Walt Disney was attracted to her and she had taken up the job of Walt’s personal secretary prior to the couple getting married a year and a half later.

Mar 7, 2006 · Lillian Disney, the widow of legendary animator and filmmaker Walt Disney, died peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday December 16th 1997. Lillian passed away at her home in West Los Angeles at the age of 98 following a stroke that she suffered early in the morning of December 15th.
