a large pot (saucepan) for the ricea sharp knife and chopping boarda measuring cupa sieve / strainer3 Cups of preferably Basmati Rice, but long or short grain will do6 Cups of water1/2 tsp of Salt1 tbsp of Butter / MargarineMeasure out the rice and place into a strainer. Jamaican pumpkin rice is one of my favourites, especially when the pumpkin is really sweet. This dish is a must try. The pumpkin adds a bit more zest to that same old plain boiled white rice. It adds both a nice colour and flavour to the rice. You have to try the recipe.
