The Academy Stadium is a football stadium in Manchester, England, forming part of the Etihad Campus. In September 2023, the ground was renamed Joie Stadium for sponsorship reasons. Announced on 19 September 2011 as part of an 80-acre training facility to cater for around 400 youth players at a time, the campus was opened on 8 December 2014.
The Joie Stadium is the home to Manchester City Women and our EDS and Academy teams. The venue can also host a number of other events including rugby.
Journeys to the stadium are really easy from the many Park & Ride sites on the Metrolink network. Parking is free for Metrolink passengers. For those traveling from the east or north there are two large Park & Ride car parks located at Ashton West and Ashton Moss.

Construction on the entire plot began in 2011, but the stadium itself needed less time and began growing in mid-2013.

Walk: You can walk to the stadium from Manchester city centre in about 30 minutes, or 25 minutes walk from Piccadilly station. The walk is well-lit and sign-posted as the ‘City Link’.
What can I do? There are many things we can do to help in this situation. For example, we have lift access to all parts of the stadium to help supporters getting to seats on a higher level of the stadium.
