However, his book The Eddie Chapman Story was eventually published in 1953. [ 7 ] Chapman ghost-wrote the autobiography of Eric Pleasants , a British citizen who joined the Germans and served in the British Free Corps of the Waffen-SS during the war.
In 1966, Eddie wrote his memoirs, The Real Eddie Chapman Story, leaving out much of the juicy material that would become public much later. His life story was made into a movie called Triple Cross starring Christopher Plummer.
