Sep 16, 2020 · This section will first describe the concept of host-guest chemistry, then outline the types of interactions and design principles that can be used to promote host-guest interactions, and finally conclude with a discussion of π − π π − π interactions.
Jun 2, 2016 · In this article, desirable properties of guest–host systems are outlined, before typical properties of guest dyes from different classes in liquid crystal hosts, as well phases exhibited by dyes themselves, are discussed.

Host–guest complexes can be seen to arise from the coordination of a cationic, anionic, or neutral guest entity within a discrete host molecule or supramolecular host assembly, using noncovalent interactions, such as H-bonds, ionic bonds, van der Waals forces, and hydrophobic interactions.
Host–guest complexes, also known as inclusion complexes, are supramolecular structures [1, 2] composed of two or more molecules or ions that are maintained through noncovalent interactions in a reversible way (Figure 1).
Feb 1, 2023 · This review will concentrate on the recent progress of host–guest MOFs. The achievements and understanding of host–guest MOF, including the components of host–guest systems, the types of species interactions, and the characterization methods have been reviewed and discussed.
