Looking for some Superman stories uniquely grim, I know Superman himself often works better in optimistic tales, and that stories that attempted to try and make him more mature (though I hesitate to use the word as I understand maturity isn't synonymous darker and edgier) probably aren't the best of the best when it comes to Superman titles.
