- Magic Cane (Helium Stick) Time: 15 Minutes. Number of Participants: 6-14 People. Items Needed: Tent Pole (or similar --- the stick must be long, thin, and light)
- The Barter Puzzle. Time: 20 Minutes. Number of Participants: 9-25 People. Items Needed: At least 3 puzzles with 50 pieces or fewer. Goal: The group must complete a puzzle.
- Electric Fence. Time: 20 Minutes. Number of Participants: 5-15 People. Items Needed: Rope, shoe string, or pole. Goal: The entire team must cross over the top of the "electric fence."
- Blind Drawing. Time: 25 minutes. Number of Participants: 4-30 People. Items Needed: Paper, writing utensils, A selection of everyday items (bottle cap, coin, key etc.)
- What Makes You Tick. You could think of this as “what makes you ticked off”, as this is an exercise in learning about each other’s personalities and seeing what kind of personalities will clash.
- Ideas As Building Blocks. Create a fictional problem that must be solved. It could be a theoretical product, a brain teaser, a riddle, a design challenge — anything that needs a solution.
- Truth And Lie. Give each team member four identical slips of paper, or have them use their laptops if they’re remote. Instruct them to write down three truths and one lie.
- The Barter Puzzle. Break your team into groups of equal members. Give each team a distinctly different jigsaw puzzle of equal difficulty. Explain that they have a set amount of time to complete the puzzle as a group.
