  2. Hellsing & Hellsing Ultimate dubs are really good. Tenchi Muyo went so far as to dub all the songs into English (well at least until Tenchi in Tokyo). One thing of note from the dub of UFO Princess Valkyrie is that one actress played both kid Val & grown up Val. In Japan they had 2 actresses for those roles.

  5. I think I'd pin the "lame" feeling that dubs give down to the differences between english and japanese. For example, watch Your Lie In April dub trailer. My first impression is nails grating on a chalkboard, because of how wrong it feels. What you needed to do is actually listen.

  7. There's a difference in tone between the two. The Japanese dub is much more comedic and light, whereas the English dub is more serious and heroic. I like watching them both for those reasons.
