- Gost. Beef from ex-dairy grass-fed Friesian stock, Mangalitsa pork chops and decadent sides caught the attention when Gost opened in April this year. Chef John Molloy's menu filled a gap in the market for a high-end steak restaurant offering distinctive cuts in the city centre.
- El Santo. An ambitious and accomplished Latin American bar and restaurant. It comes with a spectactular margarita speakeasy cocktail menu and a barbeque charcoal grill.
- Murphy’s Pakora Bar. Sanjay and Jiggy Majhu ran late night Finnieston spot Murphy’s Pakora Bar in the late nineties. Their son Nitish brought the restaurant name back to Argyle Street this year.
- Crabshakk Botanics. A dazzling new addition to the Botanic Garden Garage building, which also houses Ka Pao. A name synonymous with quality seafood, Crabshakk's second location opened over the summer with a sense of purpose.
- Sole Club. Sole Club opened its doors in February 2024, and is a speakeasy fish restaurant hidden behind a takeaway fridge door. And yes, it is also a chippie perfect for that much-needed fish and chips hit.
- Turtle Bay. Turtle Bay opened its first Scottish restaurant in Glasgow, where guests can find plenty of rum options, tropical cocktails, reggae and Caribbean food treats.
- Somewhere By Nico. When it comes to new bars and restaurants, Somewhere By Nico is a Wizard of Oz-themed cocktail bar is a must-visit, coming to Glasgow on March 20, 2024.
- Pho. We love Vietnamese street food, so Pho is a welcome addition to Glasgow’s food scene as one of the new restaurants to look out for. Opening its doors on March 8, the spot boasts street food classics like fresh summer rolls, curries and wok-fried noodles, alongside a variety of pho: a classic beef brisket noodle soup in 12-hour bone broth, a ‘supergreen’ soup or a hot and spicy prawn soup.
