  4. Biography. Ken Loach was born in 1936 and educated at King Edward VI Grammar School. He studied law at St Peter’s Hall (now College), Oxford (of which he was elected an honorary fellow in 1993). He joined the university’s Experimental Theatre Club and, after graduation, spent two years in the theatre.
