Heart rose to fame with music influenced by hard rock and heavy metal [4] as well as folk music. The band underwent a major lineup change between the late 1970s and the early 1980s; by 1982 Fisher, Fossen, and Derosier had all left and were replaced by Mark Andes (bass) and Denny Carmassi (drums).
Early Heart were a really good band. My favourite LP from that period is "Little Queen", featuring hard stuff like "Barracuda" and "Kick it out", but also amazing celtic-folk inspired ballads such as the wonderful "The Archer's Dream".

- 'Little Queen' (1977) In hindsight, Heart's third LP felt much more like the proper follow-up to 'Dreamboat Annie.' The band's inimitable combination of rock and folk—which was already sharply defined on their debut—feels even more in focus.
- 'Dog and Butterfly' (1978) Cut from the same cloth as 1977's 'Little Queen,' this album alternates between dreamy folk passages and nervy classic rock grooves.
- 'Dreamboat Annie' (1976) Few first albums are as fully formed (and confident-sounding) as Heart's debut. Come for the classic singles "Crazy On You" and "Magic Man"; stay for the blues-country boogie "White Lightning & Wine," poetic gem "Soul Of The Sea" and the gentle, acoustic guitar-ruffled title track.
- 'Bebe Le Strange' (1980) This was the first Heart LP without Michael and Roger Fisher, which is perhaps why Ann and Nancy Wilson's songwriting feels so unconstrained by expectations.
