Anne (6 February 1665 – 1 August 1714) [a] was Queen of England, Scotland, and Ireland from 8 March 1702, and Queen of Great Britain and Ireland following the ratification of the Acts of Union 1707 merging the kingdoms of Scotland and England, until her death in 1714.

Queen Anne (1665 – 1714) was the last of the Stuarts, the second daughter of James II and his first wife Ann Hyde. She was shy, conscientious, stout, gouty, shortsighted and very small. Anne did not have a particularly happy married life.
In 1683, Anne married Prince George of Denmark. It was to be a happy marriage, although marred by Anne's frequent miscarriages, still births and the death of children in infancy.
