Apr 30, 2019 · Some of these are more extravagant and expensive than others. God, however, did not just say 'I love you.' He demonstrated His love for humanity with a very costly gift: the gift of His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Was there ever a better or more sacrificial gift than that?
He went all in because he wanted to save us. Three days later, Jesus rose to life just as he predicted, proving he is the Son of God (Matthew 12:40; Revelation 1:18). He proved that he can indeed give us new life. The Bible tells us God is love (1 John 4:8) and beautifully summarizes his gift:

In the end, having Jesus means gain, like Paul says: “I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord” (Philippians 3:8).
