- Ironbridge Gorge Museums. As the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution in the 18th century, the Ironbridge Gorge to the south of Telford is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
- The Iron Bridge and Tollhouse. If there’s one sight to begin with at the Ironbridge Gorge, it’s the Iron Bridge traversing the Severn. Cast and built by the Quaker ironmaster Abraham Darby III, the Iron Bridge was the first bridge in the world to be constructed from iron when it opened in 1781.
