After watching the film I will resist reading reviews and will instead attempt to form my own analysis of the movie. I write a brief analysis down for future reference. When I’m done I will typically try to find a few published reviews as well as box office figures to get an idea of how the film was seen by others.
This is a pathetic strawman argument and you should feel bad. The first viewing of any movie, even good ones, can indeed be ruined by a spoiler. To say that if it is ruined it's a bad movie is complete hyperbole and just plain stupid.
My instinct is to say that you don't really know a film is bad until you see it for yourself -- so yes, you should watch bad movies, because you shouldn't ever let the consensus opinion determine your own opinion. What if you wind up loving that bad movie?
