I never watched the movie, but I’m watching the TV show right now. I will say, they are not very accurate to the books, but in my opinion, the portrayal of the characters are spot on (minus a couple of them, ex: Luke, Jace).

Nov 13, 2018 · You should definitely try the show! I’ve heard it gets better despite the awkward first episodes. As for the books… personally I didn’t enjoy The Mortal Instruments, but I loved The Infernal Devices.
