You can ONLY unlock the VR missions trophy on Special Missions (EU) or Integral. Integral is harder because you'll also need to unlock Big Boss ranking. You can get Fox or Big Boss easily if you play the MGS1 98 - JPN language version. There's no other difficulty available, and I'm pretty sure it's set to easy.
