   • Reading Stephen King's Under the Dome was like watching Jordan work his magic that night. Only King's brilliance lasted for over a thousand pages (1348 pages on my Nook), and King never let up. Here was King scaring the hell out of me. Next was King breaking my heart by describing the death of a character I loved.

   • At most it should have been a mini-series. It's a great story if it ends after the point is made. I liked the book better. Felt like the series didn't know when to end. Read the book. Burn the series Book was awesome, the series was garbage. I've never seen such a terrible TV adaptation for a book as Under The Dome. The book is definitely better.

    I watched about 3 episodes & lost interest. The show so diluted the book, the 2 should be viewed as totally separate entities. I went off King's books nearly 20 years ago, until i recently read '16-21-63'. Quite possibly one of his best books. So i read 'Under the Dome'. I didn't enjoy that as much as '16-21-63', but it was still quite good.
