If you re-roll, you have a 1/6 chance of getting 2 hits, a 3/6 chance of getting 1 hit, and a 2/6 chance of getting 0 hits. Add that up, and you have 5/6 hits on average - which is lower than you already had.

Jun 7, 2020 · A couple of things are obvious: reroll all is always better than reroll 1s (except when you hit on 2s, when it's a wash); +1 to hit is always better than rerolls 1s (because one face producing an extra hit is better than one face producing the chance of an extra hit).
