www.rimpar.de. Rimpar is a market town in the district of Würzburg in the German state of Bavaria. It is located about 10 km (6 mi) north of the City of Würzburg. The municipality includes the villages of Gramschatz and Maidbronn, incorporated in 1978.
Just about a hundred years after the monastery was consecrated the Castle Rimpar was built. If anything, this 14th century moated castle is humongous; and it even has a tower. Today it’s a museum and the site of a number of cultural events.
Im Ortsteil Gramschatz der Marktgemeinde Rimpar waren im Wasserwerk der Trinkwasserversorgung durch ein Starkregenereignis die Pumpen kurzfristig ausgefallen. Hierdurch konnte nur eingeschränkt Wasser in den Hochbehälter gepumpt werden.
