The Town of Necedah / nəˈsiːdə / is a town in Juneau County, United States. The population was 2,156 at the 2000 census. The Village of Necedah is located within the town. The unincorporated communities of Cloverdale and Sprague are also located in the town.

Once part of Glacial Lake Wisconsin, Necedah National Wildlife Refuge is now made up of an ancient, exposed lakebed where shallow surface water streams life into the Great Wisconsin Swamp, historic oak savannas and sand prairies.
Jun 4, 2019 · The Town of Necedah encompasses about 52,315 acres in Juneau County. The Yellow River cuts through the town from the North to the South. The Wisconsin River and part of Petenwell Lake form the East border of the Town of Necedah. Petenwell Lake is the 2nd largest man-made lake in Wisconsin.
Necedah, Wisconsin is situated at the base of a high cliff on the Yellow River, a few miles from its mouth, and is opposite the famous Petenwell Rock. It was one of the most important lumbering towns of this region and was the first place in Juneau County to have manufacturing interests.
Necedah National Wildlife Refuge is located within the 7,800-square-mile (20,000 km 2) Great Central Wisconsin Swamp, the largest wetland bog in the state. It includes extensive forest habitat (pine, oak, aspen) and large tracts of rare oak barrens habitat.
