Matsudo (松戸市, Matsudo-shi) is a city in Chiba Prefecture, Japan. As of 30 November 2020, the city had an estimated population of 498,575 in 242,981 households and a population density of 8100 persons per km². [1] The total area of the city is 61.38 square kilometres (23.70 sq mi).
Matsudo is located in north-west Chiba, parallel to the Edogawa River and offering great access to Tokyo via the JR Joban Line. The city boasts several tourist attractions, such as the historical Tojo-tei residence and Museum of History, as well as the Yagiri-no-Watashi ferry boat crossing from the early Edo Period.
