If you've ever worked in food service, you HAVE to watch this movie! It's unapologetically vulgar which in this day and age is a breath of fresh air.

I've never worked in a restaurant, but I've heard it captures the experience very well from other people time and time again. I know someone who worked at a steak house and if they realized a new person hadn't seen Waiting, they would basically throw a party where the whole team showed up to have a watch party with the new person.
Oct 6, 2005 · It can actually be fun to work in a restaurant. Most of the waitpeople I have known or encountered have been competent, smart and if necessary amusing. All the restaurant’s a stage, and they but players on it.
Although, I’ve never worked at a restaurant (thank God), Rob McKittrick seems to catch the absurdity and the insanity of it all, albeit in an over the top fashion.

Waiting, when it came out and I was in my late teens also working in a restaurant, I don't think it holds up well now, for a variety of reasons. It is very 2000s, and while it skewers the workplace pretty well, it has aged poorly in a lot of ways as well.
