In fact, for the purpose of looking up a word solely, I believe that there is no way a physical dictionary is better than its digital counterpart.

Do people still use dictionaries? I just found my old and extremely well-used copy of the Oxford English Dictionary I got when I started University in 1990 and realised how instrumental it was for me in developing a large vocabulary.
