One section had white stairs that lead from the dock to Rue Casernes and the center of town. Each step had 1 important historical event inscribed on it - what a wonderful way to introduce cruisers to Trois Rivieres' history.

They’re known as “Trifluviens.” Trois-Rivières is also officially the “poetry capital of Quebec.” I noticed myself that there poems that were posted up in the city, including hundreds that were hanging from wire in a local park.
