  1. The album sounds good, modern yet loyal to its roots, and the deal with Nuclear Blast could mean huge things. Having said all this, there is no reason I would reach for this album over so many other thrash gems. It's fast and mean, and if you seek out only the basics, you could do a lot worse.

  2. Executioner does the impossible: it's an album that manages to thrash like the eighties yet has its head in the modern age, and as a result it could easily have made a name for itself had it been released back in the day.

  3. Crude gangs like Executioner deserved a kick in the ass, a glass of warm milk or some private lessons, but finally there is one good thing - that they broke the silence for the last time. It remained their farewell album.

  4. While not my personal favorite Razor album, Executioner's Song holds its unique place quite well. It's aggressive but still fun--it has a good laugh while it beats you over the head with a lead pipe. It will always hold a place in not only Razor's discography but as a fantastic speed/thrash album that stands as a landmark for metal music.

  5. Non-profit, educational or personal use tips the balance in favor of fair use. EDIT 06/10/23: This album is on spotify now: https://open.spotify.com/album/0PWFYGKR9bRoWDwJeXxvGCTRACKLIST:1....

  6. Executioner's vinyl is the grotesque caricature of a metal album. The song-writing is as terrible as a plane crash. The production sounds thin, atypically holey and miserable.

  7. Executioner is a thrash metal band. Discography: In the Name of Metal, Break the Silence. Members: Dan Scannell, Marc Johnson, Tommy Flynn. Labels: New Renaissance Records.
