- Altogether the series is good enough and may eventually develop into something more than the sum of its parts, but viewers might not feel as passionately about The Tudors as its characters do about sex, violence, and politics.

The Tudors is good if you're looking for dramatic TV. Historical accuracy is rather hit and miss. Do remember though about the casting of Henry that he's in his 20s when the series starts, and was an extremely athletic man until later in his life.
It’s really good fun but I do have to do my best to avoid getting annoyed at the historical inaccuracies. Some wonderful performances and great castings. Natalie Dormer as Anne Boleyn, Sam Neil as Cardinal Wolsey and Jeremy Northman as Thomas Moore are just wonderful.

Although Fitzroy's birth did not fulfill the king's desire for a legitimate heir, he was far from d...

Despite modern impressions that scarcely align with what would be considered attractive, Henry in his youth was indeed considered attractive and lived up to his womanizing reputation as portrayed in The Tudors. His marital escapades are ...
I was pretty fascinated by the Tudors at school, but a skinny Henry VIII seems really inaccurate... But it seems to have a good cast (well, Fiona from Burn Notice!), so is it worth a watch? Or does it dramatically Americanise the Tudors story?
Mar 28, 2008 · In its depiction of the early reigning years of Henry VIII, “The Tudors,” which returns on Sunday for its second somnolent season on Showtime, plays a game of historical hopscotch.
