May 7, 2024 · The Humax Aura was out of stock for ages, then came back into stock at most places a few weeks ago. They were all snapped up soon though. I've personally been waiting for the new...
Sep 25, 2023 · Humax’s only remaining Freeview recorder, the Humax Aura, is also facing stock issues, further limiting options for consumers, and for the past few weeks, it’s been very hard to find (though Humax has told us this issue should be resolved soon).
May 21, 2022 · As the only model that's being sold on Humax Direct, is the Aura. I noticed that all other models are showing as out of stock. (it's been like it all year) As the Aura has over sensitive tuners for us, I'm keeping tabs on the 5000t /2TB.

The Humax Aura costs £249 for the 1TB model, which can store up to 250 hours of HD (or 500 of SD) programming, and £279 for the 2TB model, which can store up to 500 hours of Full HD (1000 of SD) programming. If you’re serious enough about live TV to want to record it on a regular basis, then the extra £30 for double the amount of space feels like a...
Humax has had great success with its What Hi-Fi?Award-winning FVP-5000T set-top box and, four years into its life, a replacement was long overdue when the Aura launched in 2020. For both specs and looks, the Aura was the upgrade we had been waiting for. Stand the two next to one another and the sculpted lines of the low-slung Aura more easily fit i...
The picture quality through the Freeview Play tuners in both SD and Full HD is every bit as good as that of the FVP-5000T. Watching Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is on BBC2, we get some inviting shots of a French antiques market on a cloudless summer’s day. The cobbled streets and stalls are bright and colourful, but with a realistic sense of ton...
The Aura’s hi-res music support offers an excellent opportunity to get good quality sound from this box through both locally stored files and streamed music services. Plugging it into our reference system, we fire up the Tidal Masters version of Fortunate Sonby Creedence Clearwater Revival and, by the standards of PVRs and video streamers, we’re st...
The Humax Aura does its main job well. It’s a good Freeview recorder for both Full HD and standard definition with an easy-to-use TV guide, plenty of space and handy remote recording features. The problem is that Humax has offered – and is charging – more this time around and this box doesn’t deliver these extras quite so well. If you’re going to p...
Apr 1, 2023 · I have been looking at the Aura to replace Sky Q and multi-room, but is it still worth buying in today's market (as based on posts it may not do what I want) Currently have Sky Q multi-room with the added feature of Sky Go so can watch on our mobile devices.
Feb 19, 2024 · In recent weeks, buyers have noticed that the Humax Aura is almost impossible to find – and indeed, most online and high-street shops no longer have it in stock, including Humax’s own direct online store.
Que the Humax Aura. My experience of Android Tv, has thus far, come from two sources - our 5 year old Sony 75" & via an NVidia Shield. I've read quite a few reviews on the Aura (too many!) to the point it has done 'my head in', and mainly because very few were glowing.
