Close to the arena so there might be some traffic after the event, but if you can get off the car park easy enough you could head north away from the arena back to the M60/M62. If it is a weekend, the multi storey car park on Charles St on the edge of the city centre is open to the public. Only cost £2 last time I used it (about 3 years ago).

May 9, 2024 · The CitiPark AO Arena car park has a total of 970 spaces and is open 24 hours a day. Because this is such a busy car park on event days, I would recommend pre-booking your parking. You can park from 5pm until midnight for events at AO Arena for a flat rate of just £10.00 otherwise parking starts at £3 for the first hour up to £22 for 24 hours.
