May 21, 2024 · The Fox is one of the last remaining Victorian pubs in Birmingham’s gay village and I lease it from Star Pubs & Bars. When I took it on in 1997, it was a very dated-looking lesbian bar. Over the years, it has evolved into a traditional local that provides a safe, welcoming space for the whole LGBTQ+ community of all ages.

The revamped fox pub infinitely better than the old shabby pub of 4 years ago. well done to the team pulling this off. Staff are friendly. Nice ambiance on a Friday night. Nice to most people just drinking, not eating it gives it a real pub/ bar feeling.

Friendly and well run pub on the picture postcard village green. There is plenty of space for drinkers away from the separate dining area, which serves a good range of reasonably priced food.

This appealing village pub has four small rooms and is relatively little altered since the 1930s. Beyond the entrance is a slate-floored drinking lobby with a tiny hatch in the leaded screen around the servery. A sliding door on the left leads to the most important room - the small, panelled front bar which is no doubt the oldest part of the pub.
