The writer change coincides with the plot format changing (the show starts out imo as a 'revenge of the week' type format and then after ep 11ish tackles a more singular, overarching plot arc). I found the change noticeable but it didn't drastically change my enjoyment (I could've watched 50+ eps of the revenge of the week style format tho lol) and it's still solidly one of my favorite dramas ...
May 31, 2021 · As a personal gripe though, it would have been nice to see this elaborated on a little more late on in the show, but ultimately Taxi Driver does a good job keeping things engaging until the very end. Interestingly, the writing team changed part way through production of Taxi Driver, leading to a subtle tonal shift late on.

Apr 16, 2023 · Taxi Driver Season 2 is an all-kill with perfect casting while the mix of comedy and action makes it a well-balanced series to watch. Lee Je-hoon does a commendable job as Kim Do-gi. I loved the fact that the makers tried to show us yet again that the man was not all perfect and that he has his own share of mental health struggles.
