About to buy new tv from tesco direct and saw the deal for free sky plus (and free installation i think). can anyone help me to work out if it's worth me having. Already got freeview, pay £15 broadband tiscali and standard BT phone line.
I was advised to move from sky plus to skyQ. It was a mistake as sky plus was much easier to use. skyQ needs to use several buttons to check other programme while in sky plus it was straight forward. The remote of skyQ is difficult. Now obviously we cannot return to sky plus and are stuck with unfriendly system.

Been thinking for a while of getting sky plus for the ability to watch one channel and record another. Tonight I took the plunge and ordered it from sky. £99 for 40 hr box (double hr box for being a long standing member or something like that). But I am wondering if I have made a mistake. I see some reports of people having big problems with it.

Mar 26, 2024 · Sky has issued a new deadline to Sky TV viewers across the UK — upgrade your ageing Sky+ and Sky+ HD box or lose access to all Sky TV channels by August 2024. The deadline comes weeks after BBC pulled its all channels from the older TV boxes at the start of the year. Sky TV is offering an upgrade for free to all viewers.
