May 1, 2024 · Romance Is a Bonus Book is that slice-of-life, feel-good, cozy K-Drama that soothes the soul. The series follows a gifted writer who has become the youngest editor-in-chief at his publishing company and crosses paths with a desperate former copywriter. There are plenty of cliffhangers on the way, and I’d definitely recommend watching it.
The chemistry between the leads works well when they are friends, but I didn't buy into their romance completely. The good thing is that the romance is only one part of a larger journey that tackles many issues in modern Korean society. It's very much worth watching. 27. Award.

Apr 22, 2019 · Review: Romance Is A Bonus Book. THE SHORT VERDICT: A noona romance that isn’t actually all about the romance, and yet, it works, and so well too. While I don’t think that this would sit as well with a younger audience, I do feel like this would resonate well with a slightly older audience, particularly if said audience is female.

Romance is a Bonus Book - Loved it. Just finished Romance is a Bonus Book, and it was awesome. Not a lot of big/obvious K-drama tropes. After finishing Marriage Contract with it's ambiguous ending, this was quite enjoyable. I like a bit of drama in my K-drama's (lol) but always breaks my heart when it's too much.
