OG Jailbreak (also known as 2019 Jailbreak) was a sub-game made by Badimo for the 7 Year Anniversary Live Update. The game opened on April 20, 2024 and closed on May 11, 2024.
•Other Roblox users have created many previous Jailbreak games, some of which have later been content deleted by Roblox.
•Badimo has received calls from some players to make the gamemode permanent.
•asimo3089 has stated on Twitter several reasons why this didn't happen. The playerbase of OG Jailbreak was very small, less than 2%, and the regular maintenance OG Jailbreak required to keep operational was not sustainable, especially since the code was scrambled.
•Many old glitches, such as the helicopter rope glitch, remain in this version of the game.
•In the message shown to players awarded the OG La Matador, it says players "stopped the CEO". Some players expressed confusion, as it was still possible to fight the CEO as a boss fight. asimo3089 stated on Twitter that "the phrase shouldn't be in there", and that it was supposed to be "open ended" for the boss fight to still make sense.
•The cash goal of 2,000,000,000 was achieved in just under 10 hours after the event's conclusion at 2:12 AM UTC.
asimo said that og jailbreak might return sometime in the future, and we've also gotten a bunch of new stuff involving the winter update and the new robbery....
