- Go for the bigger storage option. Most mixed reality and virtual reality games and apps we've come across on the Meta Store take up several gigabytes of space – and some even go into double figures.
- Budget for some accessories. It's still early days for the Meta Quest 3, but there are already some very appealing accessories available for the headset.
- You don't need to clear your room. Don't worry about spending ages clearing room in your living room or bedroom or study – the Quest 3 is fantastic at mapping out the space that it has available to it, picking out where items of furniture are and working around them.
- The visual upgrades are substantial. - Design: A Sleek Tri-Clops. At 18.2 ounces, the Quest 3 is just a hair heavier than the Quest 2 (17.7 ounces), but noticeably less bulky. Not counting the headband, the headset is just 2.2 inches deep from the front to the top of the face mask padding (down from 2.6 inches).
- Hardware: Faster All Around. The Quest 3 uses a Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 processor (with an Adreno GPU) that Qualcomm claims has 2.5 times the performance of the Quest 2’s Snapdragon XR2 Gen 1.
- Video Quality: Sharpness Counts. The Quest 3's higher resolution is noticeably sharper than both the Quest 2 and the Quest Pro. It isn’t the sharpest headset, though; the tethered HTC Vive Pro 2 has 2,448 by 2,448 pixels per eye.

It’s faster, lighter, brighter and more sophisticated. It’s certainly worthy of four stars. But many of the gripes we had with past Quest headsets remain.
