Jan 1, 2001 · That aside, Lace is very much a product of its time, in terms of content as much as in terms of style. There's a very good article in the Guardian about how it's actually quite feminist, which basically sums up a lot of the reasons I enjoyed it. I really recommend the article, if you have ten minutes.

Aug 9, 2014 · Biography. Maria Mies is a Marxist feminist scholar who is renowned for her theory of capitalist-patriarchy, which recognizes third world women and difference. She is a Professor of Sociology at Fachhochschule in Cologne, Germany, but retired from teaching in 1993. Since the late 1960s she has been involved with feminist activism.
