Add the sliced cabbage to the skillet. Sprinkle with salt, red pepper flakes, cayenne, garlic, dried thyme, and sugar.

  8. Heat some fat in a skillet, add shredded cabbage (I’ve shared my tips for shredding cabbage below), minced garlic, a bit of salt and pepper flakes, and then cook until wilted and sweet. It takes 10 to 15 minutes. (I use the same method for this sautéed zucchini and sautéed Brussels sprouts.)
