Just discovered this weapon today. It's a piercing sword with kind of mediocre stats but causes frost buildup (which is good) so I was playing around with it and realized it's heavy attack is RANGED... not like super far range, but it shoots out a beam of ice. And it's zero fp.

Jul 30, 2024 · Frozen Needle is a Thrusting Sword in Elden Ring. The Frozen Needle scales primarily with Strength and Dexterity and is a good Weapon for inflicting frost on enemies. A razor-thin piercing blade of ice. Forged by Ijii, the carian Royal Blackmith.
Frozen needle is far and away my favorite weapon for pvp so far. But I don’t think it’s very good. My advice is to free-aim the heavy attack. Once you get decent with it you’ll be able to catch the people that just try and strafe out of it.
Imo frozen needle is pretty good when combined with a longer thrusting sword in the off-hand. I have it with a keen cleanrot knight sword, as that off-sets the needle's lower damage and length. Reply reply
