  1. It's a running theme in the dlc. Each character/NPC is obsessive and they either overcome this (with your help) or are consumed by this. For the player character it might mean that they aren't able to take all of the final reward with them, but there are some exploits that you can do to negate this. 11. Award.

  2. Feb 25, 2018 · No you were not supposed to. The idea of gold in the vault, and the moral of Dead Money, is about letting go. Greed and selfishness was the reason so many died in the Sierra Madre's villa, either turning on each other or risking themselves to get to the casino before anyone else.

¹The narrator for this scene says "In the years that followed, the legend of the Sierra Madre faded, and there were no... new visitors to the city." instead of "In the years that followed, communities across the West began to die as traces of the Cloud began to drift over lands held by the NCR."

  3. It's letting go. What I liked most about Dead Money was subverting the narrative. The story's clearly supposed to be about the dangers of greed and avarice, from the messages and traps the past treasure hunters leave to Sinclair's obsession with Vera, it's all about telling you to "let go, begin again."

  4. Would I have chosen the money if Elijah walked free instead? No. But knowing he’s finished in that vault is comfort enough to “let go” of the thirst for revenge. And the Sierra Madre pays out in lessons learned.

  5. Ending cinematic. “Finding it, though, that's not the hard part. It's letting go.”. These are the available ending cutscenes of the Fallout: New Vegas add-on Dead Money.

  7. Jul 7, 2023 · Dead Money is strongly Buddhist influenced (the emphasis on the difficulty of "letting go" and, if you play your cards right, Dog/God's enlightenment experience), while Honest Hearts goes with a contrast between Old and New Testament approaches.
