because in my opinion, the best sc-fi is just like the best of any genre. At the heart, it's always about people. You could say Dark is not technology focused, but the tech is still given thoughtful consideration. It's not handwaved or unexplained, even though it's not what gets the most screen time. Back in 2018, I stumbled across the show and was intrigued by the premise: “A missing child sets four families on a frantic hunt for answers as they unearth a mind-bending mystery that spans three generations.”
