   Dec 31, 2021 · Sides were great and the strawberries with mascarpone made for a light, perfect ending to the meal. Best surprise? They have a lovely Brunello by the glass (hard to find, usually served bottle only). Definitely going back when next in Florence. In a city full of great cuisine, this place is now high on our list.

But unfortunately, the Cinghiale Bianco has been discovered, and seemingly in a big way, by international tourist (like myself). The Crostini Toscana was perfect as well as the Peposo, Pappardelle al ragù di cinghiale, Cinghiale con polenta, and Bistecchine di cinghiale alla griglia. Ask the wait staff to help you find the food you like. They are very helpful.

   Is Florence a good place to eat?

   • Nothing lovely or charming about our entire experience there last night. We are very familiar with Florence and this place is in no way comparable to the many other fine restaurants one can find. My advice: Don't dine here, but look for one of the smaller spots where you will find a more personal, proud kind of service and excellent food.

   Osteria del Cinghiale Bianco was really good and it seemed pretty local, despite the hype from being featured on Stanley Tucci's show. Of note, Florence does not put salt in their bread (out of tradition) so keep that in mind. In regards to the pasta we ordered, it was very delicious.
